The Department of Music began as The Department of Music in 1948. They are focusing on the development of professional musicians with the aim of producing competent performing musicians and educators in music for piano and orchestra. The departments enhance a student’s ability in higher theory and analysis and train independent performers by introducing them to various genres of music while studying musical theories in depth. There have been annual ensemble performances, master classes and other different events, which are furthering refined musical and artistic qualities in students while producing top class players of chamber music, string and pipe ensembles, and numerous pianists. There are many graduates with professional careers as orchestra members, chamber musicians, solo artists, and musical journalists.
