In the rapidly evolving information landscape, where Information technology (IT) and the influx of digital data have brought about significant changes, the Department of Library and Information Science strives to educate well-rounded information professionals. Our goal is to equip students with the ability to adapt to these changes and effectively address diverse information needs. Through research in various domains of information and literature, we foster the development of skills necessary to handle and analyze large-scale information, such as big data. Moreover, we cultivate individuals who can support social-level information activities, aligning with emerging information theories like ontologies and the semantic web.
