Le Cordon Bleu - Sookmyung Academy is the Korean school of the world-renowned French culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu. It is the second school established in Asia after Japan, and it is the only school in Korea where you can learn authentic French cuisine and pastry with dispatched chefs and patissiers from France, along with top-notch facilities.

Established in November 1996, the Asia-Pacific Women's Information and Communication Institute (APWINC) aims to contribute to the development of information culture and improvement of digital economic capabilities of women in Korea, North Korea, and the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, the institute is active in the Asia-Pacific region and globally, working jointly with domestic and international governments, international organizations, and NGOs.

Sookmyung Women's University became the first university in South Korea to introduce the globally recognized English teacher education program, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and established a cooperative program with the University of Maryland, USA in 1997.
