Students from the School of Global Service completed a semester-long project with cosmetics company TONYMOLY, tackling a real-world business challenge to sharpen their problem-solving skills. The results were presented at the "Design Your CapstonE" (Creative Convergence Design) final showcase, held June 23 (Tue) at the AI Center as part of the 2026 Spring Semester program.
Design Your CapstonE is an industry-academia collaboration in which students take the lead in solving challenges proposed by partner companies, engaging in the full process of problem analysis, strategy development, and final deliverables to build creativity, problem-solving ability, and hands-on expertise in their fields.

Run jointly by the university's Career Design Team and Startup Support Center in partnership with TONYMOLY, the 15-week program began in March and was offered as a three-credit major elective course titled "Creative Convergence Design." Thirty-three students from the School of Global Service took part, under the guidance of Professor Ha Yun-su of the Startup Support Center. Students worked on TONYMOLY's assignment focused on "North American Social Media Marketing," developing viral marketing strategies for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Throughout the semester, students submitted weekly progress reports for faculty feedback and received regular mentoring from TONYMOLY's marketing staff.
The final showcase was attended by TONYMOLY CEO Kim Seung-cheol, Startup Support Center Director Han Yu-jin, Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation Director Shin Ji-yeong, Career Development Director Son Seo-hui, and Professor Ha. Ten teams presented their projects, with one team receiving the Grand Prize, one the Excellence Award, one the Merit Award, and two teams receiving Encouragement Awards.

Director Han said, "We are deeply grateful to TONYMOLY for its strong support of this student project," adding, "I am proud of and thankful for the students' passionate participation."
