Through active academic exchange between doctoral students and faculty advisors, the program supports diverse research in design-related fields. In particular, it focuses on four major areas—visual and media design, industrial design, environmental design, and formative design—and seeks to continuously expand and develop human-centered design that enriches our lives and adds greater value to them.
Educational Goals
- To cultivate professionals with research capabilities suited to a knowledge-based society and with insight into social change.
- To pursue holistic education that explores truth through design and responds to emerging social needs.
- To foster creative and specialized design research capabilities through practical research and professional practice in collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutions.
